Shopping Here is Shopping Local.

The internet is great. Shopping online has a huge amount of benefits. It is convenient, you never have to leave your house, you never have to do exercise, you don't have to say "hello" to anyone, you can shop in your undies.
A local shop is greater. You get to do exercise, you get to interact with your local community, expert product knowledge is found in abundance and the biggest and most important benefit is your money spins around the local community.
Example, if you are a hairdresser in the ACT, you rely on ACT locals for 100% of your business as do most tradespeople, the lawn mowing person & so on. If all of those people shop online, there is a high probability that the profits are spun out of the community into places like Toorak in Victoria and in some cases, Copenhagen and Great Britain.
basketpress.com.au is a shopping site with only local businesses on board selling a great range of Local Wines and very hard to get aged wines in pristine condition.
By shopping here your money is staying local with a better than 80% chance of you receiving some of that money back. Betty the bottleshop lady is not going to visit Freja in Norway for a rinse. (Besides it's too cold) The internet guru in VIC is not going to get ACT BOB (the builder) to build his house in Toorak.
N.B. you still get to shop in your undies but hopefully you've got something covering them.
