OLD & RARE WINE PURCHASES

We offer refunds in line with your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

The Old & Rare Market is very different to the other 98% of wine sold in retail shops. Although we have done everything possible to ensure perfect cellar provenance even down to only sourcing from temperate climate zones, OLD & RARE WINES CAN NOT BE GUARANTEED. The flavour profile of wine changes over the years, mostly for the better, but different to what you maybe used to drinking. Not enjoying it does NOT qualify for a refund.

Wines produced before 2006 had cork closures. some of these corks, although doing there job, may crumble a bit, leaving some cork floating in your wine. THIS IS NOT THE DEFINITION OF A CORKED WINE. Cork taint is a chemical reaction that at 1st instance, smells like a rotten, mouldy, fallen tree trunk, covered in fungus. If you think your wine smells like that, we may be able to refund you or replace your wine. We will analyse the wine in our laboratory at the winery to see if in fact it is suffering from the presence of the chemical compounds 2,4,6-trichloroanisole (TCA) or 2,4,6-tribromoanisole (TBA)

Steps for returning the wine;
1. Check that your teenager hasn't left there running shoes or socks in the vecinity of where you are drinking your wine.
2. ensure nearly all of the wine is back in the bottle and recork it. 3. Return the wine to the store of purchase or
Post the bottle along with a copy of the receipt to;
Basketpress
19A Cassia Place
Ulladulla NSW 2539
4. Email us to let us know to expect the bottle. admin@basketpress.com.au
5. Allow 6 weeks for the process.

In the unlikely event we are unable to supply your wine, we will refund money paid, in full. We will not be under obligation to find a replacement should an incident on a rare wine occur. E.G. If there were only 1 bottle and it was broken in transit after you had paid for it.
